There are several ways to open a position on xStation. You can do this with the following steps:

Double-click the selected instrument in the Market Watch window

Right-click in the chart window of the selected instrument and select the "New order" option

Press the F9 key on your keyboard
After performing one of the above actions, the order window will be displayed with the following options to choose from:

Volume
-
Stop loss and take profit settings
After you set your order parameters above, you have the choice of clicking Buy - if you expect the value of the instrument to go up, or Sell if you think the market will go down (CFDs).
