Just after 5:30 PM BST, Arab media sources reported the start of heavy bombardment of the Gaza Strip, during which the telephone network and internet connections of the Jawwal company were disrupted. These reports raise speculation about whether the Israeli side is preparing for the previously announced ground invasion of these areas.
"Today is the worst in terms of the strength of Israeli fire, and we hear explosions... coming also from the sea, especially in the north of the Gaza Strip," reported Al Arabia.
